JOB SUMMARY:

To cultivate and manage customer relationships; and budgets for landscape/enhancement and snow removal services. Responsible for selling enhancements, landscape management services and snow removal to new and current customers and renewing 90% + of contract base.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily customer relationships to ensure continuous sales growth and excellent customer service
  • Personally Generated Sales per year of $500,000
  • Active involvement in minimum of 3 community organizations where you can promote Exscape Designs
  • Manages own pipeline of work and communicates that with operations personnel
  • Responsible for answering questions to customers that relate to various topics of landscape management, snow removal, and enhancements
  • Responsible for marketing and promoting various services and products to new and existing customers
  • Plans, design, and price a landscape service with the ultimate goal of selling it to new and existing customers
  • Meets individual annual enhancement sales goals of 20%-25% of contract base and renewals of + 90%
  • Manage, monitor, and analyze the financial performance of landscape and enhancement projects to ensure timeliness, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Makes recommendations that influence employee’s hiring, firing, promotions, and other employment decisions.
  • Conducts coaching and development of Field Supervisors as it pertains to Quality.
  • Responsible for inspecting properties and ensuring that quality is met at all times
  • Ability and knowledge to identify various plants, shrubs, and other herbaceous plants as well as weeds, pests, insects, diseases, moss, and plant disorders to be able to answer customer’s questions on a daily basis
  • Works with Field Supervisor to follow up on damage repairs of customer and company property, vehicles, equipment, and machinery while monitoring cost and efficiency
  • Perform snow removal duties during snow season while ensuring proper safety procedures
  • Comply with company safety policy at all times and ensures that all maintenance, installation, and snow removal tools are used according to company safety policy and manufacturers recommendations while ensuring that crew members follow same procedures at all times
  • Maintain continuous communication with internal and external contacts and participates in operations meetings and other companywide initiatives as needed
  • Responsible for operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment while following safety and operator’s manual guidelines
  • Manage necessary documentation such as accident reports, employee related documents, sales, and others as needed

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Account Manager manages customer relationships on a daily basis. He/she oversees the quality of completed landscape and enhancement work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

  • Commercial Driver’s License a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
  • Certified Landscape Technician (CLT)
  • Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) a plus
  • Pesticide/Herbicide License required
